Hot off the Runway: Sunglasses Inspired by #NYFW
The New York Fashion Week Fall 2016 runways proved bigger is better when it comes to sunglasses. We couldn’t agree more: Oversized sunnies hide a bevy of all sins, don’t they? (Read: The walk of shame). Nothing shields you from the sun (or signs of last night’s debauchery) like an ostentatiously oversized pair of sunnies. Here are the runway-ready oversized sunglasses we’re pre-packing for the weekend.
Ultra 02-Andromeda, $110
Ultra-vampy, cat-eye acetate sunglasses get a playful surprise from peek-a-book details on the inside. Wine frames with saffron, turquoise & pink watercolor brow & black gradient lenses.
Blazin 02-Forest, $110
It’s hip to be square in cutoff sunglasses that make the cut. Handmade square acetate sunglasses with a rimless bottom give the sleek illusion of lenses that fade away. Glossy gray marble acetate frames, chunky temples, black gradient cutoff lenses.
JP 01-Fabulous, $48
This is big – literally. Oversized retro rounds with a solid punch of color are as colossal as your charisma. Glossy tan transparent frames, gold metal temples, purple gradient lenses.
Alyssa 05-Icelandic, $50
These petite round lenses play up your smart side, but the cat-eye cutouts put these sunglasses in the oversize category. Zigzag temples pepper in a pop of playful panache.
Boogie 04-Deville, $120
The dizzying design of these vintage square sunglasses just might give you disco fever.
